Is the ghost bright enough to read by?
No. It is a small decorative night light, not a reading lamp. The lantern hanging from the branch gives a warm glow, a nice touch on a nightstand or shelf.
Do the spider candles use a real flame?
No. They are flameless LED candles with a flame-shaped light that glows warm orange. The drips are molded, so there is no wax to melt.
